With all that buying power and United's injury misfortunes this season, Mancini still needed that extra 90 seconds to win the league.

I wouldn't bet on United being quiet just yet.

I do hope Arsenal comes back into the title fight next season though, always been a fan of Wenger and his on field philosophy.

Extra 90 seconds, there was loads of wasted time in that game, and in football you play to the whistle. Good on City to keep going.

Arsenal have a fairly new owner, one who seems a little more bullish about spending and I can't see them needed to rebuild their team again, once the team got together they played great, outplayed Chelsea and City completely in their second games.

The fact still remains that Man Utd have bought their titles just the same as Man City have.Man Utd have been one of the biggest spenders in english football for as long as i can remember.

The point I was trying to make was that its their fans that don't like it now after all these years other teams have more of a say in the transfer market than what they do.

Its just a shame football is being spoilt by money,too many rich people buying clubs who they don't support and spending fortunes on them.Take Abramovich for example,before he bought Chelsea he was actually on his way to buy Tottenham.
Also the farce of the Man Utd takeover.No wonder banks are in trouble,who in their right mind would let someone buy a football club, with a great structure making millions of pounds a year,then let someone with no interest in football plunge it millions of pounds in debt.Losing something along the lines of £200 million a year ( I heard quoted),Its around 500 million in debt now ? crazy..
No wonder the fans were up in arms about the takeover

I agree, the big money clubs with their sugar daddies are ruining football, let's go back to pre 1992/93, before the Premier League, maybe Liverpool can get back to winning titles every year

Speaking of Liverpool, is anyone actually surprised by Kenny Dalglish's departure from Anfield? I'm certainly not, his cups are more important than fifth in the league comments were the straw that broke the camels back for me. I worked out that Dalglish's three major signings, Henderson, Downing and Carroll were poor value, scoring 13 goals between them, that's £5.4m per goal!

That's the common misconception. They've not been demoted to anywhere - the club that has been granted entry to the third division is a different company to Rangers, which are in the process of going into liquidation, and they've yet to actually be punished at all (if indeed they will be at any point). The company that has bought Rangers assets (sevco) originally applied for membership of the SPL, which was denied; they then applied for membership of the SFL, and the debate was whether their entry point to the SFL would a) be accepted and if so, b) at what level - 1st division or 3rd division.

So no demotion and it's not a punishment in any sense whatsoever, Rangers FC PLC simply cease to exist - Sevco (to be known as 'the' Rangers), a new company applied through the various league bodies and were only granted entry at the bottom rung.

Any potential punishment for the new company based on the misdeeds of the old one is yet to be decided.

As far as I am concerned (and all their supporters that I've seen interviewed) it is the same team only under different ownership and a slightly different name but the team is still called Rangers and is still based at Ibrox. It's like saying Vauxahall and Opel are different - they're not. It's the same thing with a different badge.

Either way, they'll still be known by the same derogatory name.
