The Ferrari really is a nice looking car.

I wouldn't want to see the team dominate F1, but a return to form would be a good thing I think, the money they are spending and the return just doesn't add up. Although, leaving gaps for the likes of Williams to compete is also a good thing.

"Pull-rod: Lots of people keep asking me “oh, they’ve kept the pull-rod, that’s bad for Kimi!”, as though one driver can detect the difference in whether the springs and dampers and all the other complex suspension inside the car is operated by being pushed or being pulled. It really doesn’t make any difference in the compliance of the suspension. This is one of these kind of red herrings that everyone goes chasing off on."

This same video was posted on this ""support"" thread a couple of days ago

And the reason to get rid of the pull rod is not whether the drivers can tell the difference, but the more limited setup scope that is traded for aero benefit at the front

Its hard sometimes to fully grasp the amount of detail and nuances in every corner of F1

Why read the content in your very own support thread when mindlessly cutting and pasting (as long as you cut and paste with passion) will do just fine?

If I was a ferrari ""supporter"" I would be a lot more concerned about Scarbs point in the video that the evolution of the nose doesnt make obvious sense and Ferrari might have made a faux pas - like I said earlier in this ""support"" thread

As far as keeping the pull rod, sure its not a deal breaker, even if its not the optimum choice (as evidenced by how many of the other highly paid engineers in other teams have opted for it) - its definetely not as big a potential problem......

....as the sexy nose which appears costly within the aero context of the whole car

To celebrate their 10 million fans on Facebook, Ferrari has put together a funny video featuring company chairman Luca di Montezemolo, in addition to Formula 1 drivers Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa.

Official Facebook pages are already quite common among car brands, but to see a low-volume manufacturer reach 10 million fans, while some of the world’s leading automakers struggle to get past 3 million (Hyundai), is quite impressive.

Lamborghini, for instance, has 4.5 million fans, with Porsche 4.9 million; BMW meanwhile beats them all with 12 million fans, making it the most ‘liked’ car manufacturer on Facebook.

Ferrari looks to have beaten McLaren-Honda to the reborn Manor team's door. Earlier, we reported that with the former Marussia team now exiting administration, McLaren could play a role in the resurrection of the backmarker.

Writing on his blog f1-insider, German correspondent Ralf Bach had said Ron Dennis was keen to emulate Ferrari's new alliance with the 2016 entrant Haas in terms of having a de-facto 'B-team'. Bach said Manor might nominate Woking as the venue for its wind tunnel programme, while the McLaren supremo is reportedly "trying to convince Honda" to supply the team with engines.

But Ferrari, despite being owed millions by Marussia, appears to have beaten McLaren-Honda to Manor's door. The fabled Maranello team's new boss Maurizio Arrivabene told reporters on Friday that, just like last year, Marussia will in 2015 be supplied customer models of the 2014 'power unit'. "There is nothing in writing at the moment," said the Ferrari chief in Barcelona, "but our answer at the moment is yes -- (the) 2014 (engine)," said Arrivabene.
