I don't get why these new owners would just buy the team and not have put some cash in. Unless they were not told how dire the situation was

Yeah I think that their demise is inevitable unless your pockets are overflowing. Avoiding to waste money on a dying product

Apparently they are saying they will still race this weekend. I hope the parts the bailiffs took were the new front wing they said would give them a 2 second jump

Now THAT'S a high class garage sale!! :hehe:

I wouldn't mind a steering wheel. But it has to be seriously knock off price, like 95% discount. :D

So how can they race without steering wheels and car jacks? :)

Ive always heard a figure of around £20k for a steering wheel. I don't think I could afford it at 99% discount.

You never know - it might be faster. ;)

Im guessing they have more than one set - and these were spares back in the factory?

I just got this from the Sheriffs Office:-

Thank you for your interest in the impending sale of goods seized and removed from Caterham Sports Ltd. Your details have been noted.

A full and detailed inventory, including photographs, is currently being compiled and it is hoped this will be published later today/tomorrow.

The goods are to be sold by public auction to the highest bidder, unless the sums due under the writs are paid within the seven day notice of sale period, in which case the goods will be released from seizure and available for collection by Caterham Sports Ltd.

Sale by private treaty of specific specialist items may be permissible with leave of the court.

The announcers on today's telecast didn't offer as much insight as I've just read, but they did discuss the retirement of Kobiashi(sp) mid-race. Said they apparently decided to retire based on performance. Said Kob was told there are NO spare parts and decided to retire as to be able to race again.

Much like HRT in its death throws. When Pedro kept saying they where using new parts...
