How do you rate the race among the rainshowers of Silverstone?

Austria was rated at 6.9

European was rated at 2.7
Canada was rated at 5.4
Monaco was rated at 6.6
Spain was rated at 8.6
Russia was rated at 4.75
China was rated at 7.0
Bahrain was rated at 7.4
Australia was rated at 6.7

Rather dull for a rain affected race with everybody just saving their tires to the end. Could have been alot better without that sunshiney day safety car start.

There was a race? Safety car start handed win over to LH, 52 formation laps completed. My wife likes LH and she was bored. The Sky anoouncers deserve an Emmy for working their butts off to try to convince the viewers that this was an extremely exciting race.

After some deliberation I will give it a "4"; if you like cars sliding off the road; then it was a "10"; but as a race it was processional; it was Hamilton's race to lose.

Lets face it Rosberg's side of the garage broke the rules with the radio messages regardless of who was the race steward. Rather interesting that Mercedes did everything they could to help Nico over the radio. Although when in Baku Lewis got nothing from them.

FYI it was only in 2011 when Mansell was slagging Lewis off in the papers, so he is hardly on Lewis's side.

Lewis deserved being slagged by Mansell in 2011. He was so bad that year everyone was slagging him. Lucky for Lewis that Dennis and Whitmarsh stood by him in 2011 and saved his career.

edit: Looking at that 2011 article Mansell was giving Hamilton proper advise rather than a slagging. "Nigel Mansell says that Lewis Hamilton needs to 'settle down' and 'act appropriately' in the wake of a number of recent outbursts."

Anyway in 2016 Mancell is clearly in Hamilton's corner as per his pre-British GP tweets demonstrate:

Not exactly an impartial steward. In fact it appears that Mansell was Hamilton's biggest booster! The extra points that Mansell granted his buddy Lewis could be the difference in the wdc.

I do agree with you that it was the team that violated the rules and as such the penalty would have been better if it just removed wcc points or even worse for Mercedes an actual monetary fine. They love their euro's.

They could have punished Rosberg much more than just a time penalty though. He has had rather small time penalties at the last two GP. You could argue Austria deserved a bigger punishment as his time penalty made no difference to his fourth place.

I agree stewards must be impartial and I don't think any former driver is impartial enough to be a steward.

Howdy folks! Thought I'd pop in and say HELLLOOOOOOOO THERE
HAHAHA, I see its same old, same old. Hamilton is the devils spawn and Goldilocks is so hard done by. He's s*** dudes, you not figured this yet? You can't be that stupid! I guess you not, you just hate Hamilton's guts. Well :kneel: you have some pain ahead. Cos only two drivers in this game is Max and Lewis.
Max was whoopsydo perfect at Silverstone. Goldilocks was a pile of s***. Hamilton did what he always does.
F***** gets off the hook every time does blue eyes. How many stewards enquries in the last two races? Hahaha. Three. First one, ridiculous pointless penalty that isn't a penalty for driving team mate off the road and not letting him back on. F***** mental!!
Driving round track like a dork! Waaaaaaay off the pace at Silverstone- NO PENALTY.
Then, priceless this one. Gearbox problem , told to avoid 7th...BUT DOESNT KNOW HOW TO DO IT!!!! Bleedin brilliant! Has to be told how to shift avoiding a gear. Coached. F***** idiot!
And the best bit only a ten sec penalty for the golden boy. You hear that up and down the pit lane? Only a ten sec penalty for cheating and coaching a piss useless driver.
I reckon Hamilton would have taken ten seconds for the team to sort the error they made when setting engine modes at Baku.
Force India pretty pissed off too. They couldn't tell their driver about a brake issue that was dangerous, but Merc coached Rosberg about a non dangerous gearbox issue and only got ten seconds.

Bleedin crap!
Anyhows dudes. Hope you enjoyin the racing. Hopefully best drivers will win out despite political crap. And that's Max or Lewis.
Sadly have to admit Danny Ric slightly off the boil at moment. But hell at least he don't cheat!!!
