Brazil 2015

There is not much left to be settled only a couple of driver battles remain, Bottas/Raikkonen and Kvyat/Ricciardo and in the constructors will Lotus stay ahead of Toro Rosso?

Will Rosberg again out qualify and out race Hamilton or will Lewis regroup and to win where he had failed in his 8 previous attempts?

Rumors about Lotus being locked out of the paddock, Hamilton hung over and partied out, and friction between Wolfe and Lauda.

Interlagos has offered exciting and incident filled racing though, perhaps we will see a classic in 2015.

Merc F1 says Hamilton will race despite 'illness'!

http://autoweek.com/article/formula-one ... razil-race

Maybe it has something to do with partying with Nicole in London.

edit:

Now Hamilton has had a car accident in Monaco and is worried about the repair bill. Just buy the guy a new car Lewis! At least his 'fever' is better now and he is able to get himself to Sao Paulo.

Friction between Lauda and Wolff

http://www.grandprix.com/ns/ns32373.html

....... Speaking to British reporters on Monday, Hamilton agreed: "The team has felt the need to be extra warm (to Rosberg).
"I know what I mean, but I'm not going to say. You should ask Toto (Wolff) and Niki (Lauda) how they feel about it. About what they have to do behind the scenes to keep him happy," the triple world champion added.

Team chairman and F1 legend Lauda, however, insists Rosberg's victory was well deserved.
"I congratulate him that he has fought back from where he was before. In all respects, he was better than Lewis in Mexico," he said.

At the same time, rumours have emerged that not all is well in the relationship between team boss Wolff and Lauda.
After Mexico, as Lauda conducted interviews with the media, Wolff reportedly called off his post-race press duties and rushed out of the circuit.

A Mercedes PR chief hinted at the discord by insisting that Lauda is not an official team spokesman.
"Sources have told The Times that Lauda is considering quitting the team, possibly as soon as the end of the season," the London-based newspaper said.

Are thunderstorms in Brazil isolated? Short-lived?
Or does the whole country get in on it all day?

The amounts of rain don't look too bad, it might be just enough to spice things up!

Ricciardo to run upgraded Renault engine but will suffer a grid penalty. Is this a signal that things are working out between red Bull and Renault? Perhaps an engine deal is in the works. Not much time left!

http://planetf1.com/news/ricciardo-to-r ... lt-engine/

Daniel Ricciardo will run Renault's upgraded engine at the Brazilian Grand Prix, which will result in a grid penalty for the Australian.

The French manufacturer confirmed in the build-up to the United States GP that it had used 11 of its 12 in-season engine development tokens, but Red Bull opted against using it in both in Texas and Mexico.

Ricciardo, though, will be able to sample the new-spec engine at Interlagos this weekend, but he will take a 10-place grid penalty as he has already exhausted his engine allocation for the season.

Autosport reports that "the engine will be used from first practice onwards, while a decision as to whether to fit the new unit to [team-mate Daniil] Kvyat's car is expected to be taken on Saturday".

Speculation is rife that Red Bull will be powered by Renault in 2016 despite announcing earlier in the year that they had terminated their contract, and the final two races of the season may well be to test the engine for next year.

Bianca was right. Bernie had to pay some $350k in charges from last year in order for the track/promoters to let Lotus into their garage.

Valtteri Bottas has been slapped with a three-place grid penalty for overtaking Felipe Nasr under red flags in FP2.

The session was halted as it neared the 30-minute mark as Fernando Alonso's McLaren suffered an engine issue.

Parking on the side of the track, the red flags were waved to allow the marshals to safely retrieve the car.

It was at the start of that red flag period that Bottas overtook Nasr between Turn 5 and 6.

The FIA statement read: "The driver of car 77 admitted he overtook car 12 under red flags.

"The Stewards in applying the penalty took into consideration that despite the considerable speed difference between the cars, the driver of car 77 could have avoided overtaking under the red flag."

The Finn has therefore been handed a three-place grid penalty as well as two penalty points.
