Not to me; the IRA are/were terrorists; plain and simple, fighting the regime is one thing, threatening F1 personnel who have nothing to do with the regime is terrorism!

since the F1 circus did go there, ( with the majority of the Bahrain people don't want them in their country ) obviously under an agreement with the fascist goverment - I wouldn't say F1 personnel have now nothing do with the regime, Bernie puts everyone in a political situation.
So I believe, they are not terrorists threatening innocents, Fia chose to make an agreement with their dictator, making anyone in F1 their enemy too. It is a war, not terrorism

Then they should only attack Bernie Ecclestone & Jean Todt, they are the ones that brought F1 to Bahrain, the teams are just following their contractual obligations!

Too true - we cant even keep peace on our own boards.....!

What we need to do is adopt the UN's strategy of having peace keepers on the forum:

Like a famous shirt slogan... "bombing for world peace is like :censored:ing for virginity!"

But seriously I think that the media are talking it up just to sell papers. But one cannot take away the fact that the Force India team were put in danger...

Excuse me, the F1 circus is a sport, they are as innocent as you can get in this religious squabble. Anyone who would condone violence towards them is an idiotic self idealistic fool.

As has been said before, the irony of complaining about human rights yet the same people are happy to violate the rights of innocent people who have nothing to do with the conflict!

There are plans to demonstrate outside the Bahrain Intl Circuit during FP1 as security is tightened up, but under instruction to not be too heavy handed while the world's media is watching:

After Bahrain I think it would be a great idea to make a GP race in Athens

Just had a look at the live updates for first practice on the BBC...

So Lewis Hamilton, who is sitting in his McLaren in the garage, is fastest ahead of Sebastian Vettel, Nico Rosberg, Jenson Button, Nico Hulkenberg, Michael Schumacher, Mark Webber, Kimi Raikkonen, Paul di Resta and Romain Grosjean.

:)

Force India don't seem to have been slowed by their frightening experience!

Just read on Twitter that Force India will boycott FP2 because they don't want to travel back to their hotel after dark! And that the Bahrani's and Bernie Ecclestone have gone and had a word with Force India's deputy principle in the FI motorhome, his Bernieness doesn't want the embarrassment of having one or more teams not take part in the session!

Interesting.Wonder if any of the other teams will follow suit.Perhaps that is what Bernie is so worried about.

This is a farce. Attempting to coerce a team into putting their personnel in a potentially dangerous situation is criminal. The truth here is that Bernie stands to lose money should the race not go ahead, and that is the bottom line...

Force India are right to put their personel's safety first. Tough Bernie.

For safety reasons F1 shouldnt have gone to Bahrain. They cannot get involved in politics either, another reason not to go.
It sounds horrendous what people are going through there, though Ive never been to the country and havent seen it for myself. But to pretend they are the only nation involved in crimes like this is naive. In the not too distant past many western countries committed horrendous crimes, Britain's record is non too good. Sadly we're not a nice species really, the Human Race.

Human beings with power aren't nice, the vast majority of ordinary people are. Seeing as we outnumber them by a very large margin then it is our responsibility to make our voices heard...
