Technical Insight – Willy Rampf
“I always find it exciting when we come to a new circuit. Because Abu Dhabi is the last race of the season we still have a lot of time to analyse the track in detail. Above all, we will collect a large amount of data over the course of the season, which we can then use in practice. In Abu Dhabi we will be relying one hundred percent on our simulation programs, with which we had very good experiences last season in Singapore and Valencia.”

“It is good that we will have something new to explore once again in 2009. I always like to visit new venues and circuits, and you can see how quickly the individual drivers become accustomed to the new track. The United Arab Emirates are not totally new to me and the plans gave me an impression of just how colossal this whole project is. I’m very eager to experience the track design and the facility as a whole.”
