‘Customer Car’ row rages on

Fierce arguments over ‘customer cars’ are still raging after a meeting last week failed to produce a compromise or solution. Spyker F1 are leading the attack against Toro Rosso and Super Aguri who are both intending to race cars in 2007 that they did not design themselves.

Bernie Ecclestone waded into the argument on Friday and came up with a compromise, which was rejected.

It is uncertain as to whether the argument will be resolved before the opening day of the season in Australia. If the issue remains unresolved and a protest is formulated, stewards at the Grand Prix may have to declare the Toro Rosso and Super Aguri cars as illegal and refuse them the right to race.
